I am level 60 and 6/6. I am bored.
But, last night, I helped with West Angmar Quests and Esteldin. Needless to say, it was a blast.
So, I just wanted to send this out to you all.
I know that when When kin mates come on and say “anyone need me for anything?” there are a bunch of you who do not say squat because you think that asking for help in Forchel, Fornost, GA or Dol Dinen is beneath them? F that.
It is not beneath me. I will craft you bronze leggings for crafting quests if that is what you need. As I tell my wife: I HAVE NO PRIDE. Now use me.
But, this is old news. So, I was thinking about what I can do to blow people’s minds and drive this point home. Then, it hit me. There are a core group of us who ALWAYS are up for helping someone. But, most people never speak up. So, I want to propose a Noob Squad.
This is not kin-sanctioned and may be a stupid idea. But, I was thinking that it would be hysterical for a bunch of us to get together at night and randomly help someone. It will be at a certain time at night: We will hunt down a random kin mate and shove our assistance down their throats, LOL
We will not help anyone who does not really want help, but if they do not mind or need a group quest knocked out, we are there. Part of the fun might be just hunting down the random kin-mate and saying Hi.
“This sounds like a complete waste of time.” You are right. It is. But, you are playing a game so you are in essence already wasting time. I am really doing this because there are many times I simply enjoy working with Hasties and chatting away while doing something completely mindless. If you feel the same way, sign up.
You may ask “Can you not call it Noob Squad? It’s kind of offensive”
I beg to differ. I spoke to your significant other, parent, child, etc and they have confirmed that you are indeed a noob.
YOU: Am I a Noob?
Wife/Husband/Loved One: Baby, why do you ask such questions? I Love You.
YOU: Umm, you did not answer my question.
Wife/Husband/Loved One: Lrn 2 Play, Dear.
So, if you think you want to be a part of the Noob Squad and employ these Guerilla Warfare Tactics to help the kin in weird and unexpected ways, please let me know.
I do not know what I am doing so this may be chaotic at first, but then, that could be part of the fun. We could be helping someone farm radiance gear or destroying GA.
If we can not find anyone to help, we will farm Uru/CD for Class quest items and donate what we do not want to the kin bank. Or, just run GS.
If no one signs up for the Noob Squad, I will be a Noob of one. So, do not be surprised if a lone 60 RK just happens to show up while you are Freeing Dori and annihilates your foes.
We will decide what we will do once the group is assembled.
Anyway, I will be going out around 10pm EST tonight (2/9/2009) if you are interested in trying out this bold new experiment. If by some miracle, some people are interested, please let me know if you can meet tonight. We will meet up in Vent at 10pm EST and decide upon our first victim…err Beneficiary.
The more I think about this, the more odd this sounds. But, F it. I already typed this much and I am too lazy to delete this wall of words.
